Amanda Seales Gets Her Life

About Amanda

If you are an 80’s baby like me you probably remember Amanda Seales from 90s Nickelodeon series My Brother and Me. She played Melanie’s best friend Dionne. Dionne was always catastrophizing the most normal activities such as going to the mall or movies which often annoyed Melanie.

Although Seales already had some acting experience she decided to study theater at Purchase College in NY. In 2002 she appeared on Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam.  Seales changed her name to Amanda Diva and she landed jobs as an MTV2 VJ and a Sirius Radio DJ.  In 2007 when the Floacist, Natalie Stewart, left the group Floetry Seales Joined Marsha Ambrosius as part of the Floetry Remixed Tour.  Seales has been featured on various TV series such as VH1’s Best Week Ever and TRU TV’s Friends of People. She has contributed to several News outlets such as CNN and the Huffington Post.  You can also find Seales in comedy clubs making people laugh with her hilarious stand-up routines and to top it off she has a degree Master’s degree in African-American Studies from Columbia.
